Like many people who are trying to be more eco-conscious, I’ve amassed a collection of reusable water bottles. Sometimes I don’t know where to put them all. So when que Bottle offered to send me a sample for product review, I hesitated. Did I really need another bottle cluttering my countertop or clogging my cupboard?
But I decided to try one for a few reasons. The que Bottle is:
- Collapsible, so it takes up half the space of an ordinary water bottle
- Lightweight
- Made out of food-grade silicone, a material I hadn’t tried in a water bottle
- Comes in super pretty colors
After poring over the color choices for a while, I finally selected red. It arrived in all its cuteness in very attractive packaging, suggesting it would look nice as a gift to have sent directly to any water-loving friend.
So, thoughts on the product. I’m used to metal water bottles, so this one feels a bit strange—rubbery and wobbly, but not unpleasantly so. And it’s fun to play with, smooshing it down, then extending it out. In the company’s initial approach to me, they described the bottle in an email as “stylish enough for yoga and brunch,” which made me snicker about something needing to be stylish to enter a yoga studio (You should see the state of my yoga mats!). But sure enough, my boot camp teacher exclaimed at the que Bottle’s cuteness, and she sees a lot of water bottles. So I guess it really is stylish.
I will for sure be taking the que Bottle for holiday travels. When every bit of packing space counts, I’ll be smooshing it down to half size to fit in my carry-on bag.
And que has a heart. They donate 10% of proceeds from every bottle sold to The Rainforest Trust to help protect land and wildlife. In conclusion, I recommend the que Bottle as a holiday gift.
